Student Media Assistants

Students work as assistants and earn one unit of credit. They develop media competencies and skills needed in literacy, technology, and circulation of instructional materials. Students learn multimedia and social skills. Students utilize literacy and technology. They operate the circulation desk, use advanced computer skills, troubleshoot, and provide assistance to other students in the media center and computer labs. Projects include graphics, newsletters, databases, and assisting others with media and/or technology needs. Media courses also help the assistants enhance research skills in preparation for future educational endeavors.
